What the Arc Dome Trail is known for
A strenuous 10-mile out-and-back ascent of Arc Dome (11,773 ft), the highest point in the Toiyabe Range and Nevada's sixth-highest summit, through the Arc Dome Wilderness in Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The trail climbs through Great Basin conifer forest and alpine tundra to the dome-shaped summit with panoramic views across Nevada's basin-and-range. Primitive camping is available in the high basin below the summit.
